Try it offline
  1. Open this page once and wait until it says it works offline.

Developers: open DevTools → Network before choosing a file. Processing makes no requests. Afterwards the page sends one anonymous count (which tool, how many files) to our own statistics server, never a file or its name, and the page's Content Security Policy blocks every other site.

How to convert WebP to JPG

    1. Choose your WebP images, or drop them onto the box above.
    2. Keep the quality at 90, or lower it for smaller files.
    3. Download each JPG, or all of them as one zip file.

The converter also accepts AVIF, PNG, GIF and BMP. Which formats work depends on your browser; current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari all read WebP. For iPhone photos (.heic), use the HEIC to JPG converter.

    What is a WebP file?

WebP is an image format from Google that many websites use because the files are small. When you save an image from a site, you often get WebP instead of JPG. Plenty of apps, photo printers and upload forms still only take JPG or PNG, so converting fixes the "file type not supported" problem.

    Questions

    Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser tab, on your device. "Try it offline" at the top of this page shows how to confirm it.

What happens to transparent parts of the image?

JPG can't store transparency, so transparent areas become white. If you need to keep transparency, PNG is the format for that.

Is an animated WebP converted too?

Only its first frame. JPG holds a single still image.
